Role Overview

The Senior Delay Analyst will join the team in Riyadh and advise clients on time-related construction claims.

The role uses forensic analysis of project information and data across major construction and infrastructure projects in the GCC.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare and defend extension-of-time claims, including critical path delay analysis and claim narratives.
  • Identify delay events with project teams for claim submissions.
  • Apply industry-standard methodologies to analyze and quantify construction project delays.
  • Prepare reports establishing cause and effect and demonstrating entitlement to extension of time.
  • Undertake programme critiques, delay analysis critiques, programme update reviews and schedule integrity assessments.
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations to clients.
  • Support Delay Experts on construction disputes through fact-finding, analysis, quantification, findings presentation and report writing.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified.
  • Previous experience in a claims consultancy firm and in project planning and controls.
  • 8–10 years of forensic planning experience working solely in a delay analysis role.
  • Hands-on experience with prospective and retrospective delay analysis methods.
  • Experience applying Impacted As-Planned, Time Impact Analysis, Windows Analysis, As-Planned vs As-Built and Collapsed As-Built methodologies.
  • Skill with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Asta Powerproject or other planning software.
  • Familiarity with FIDIC contracts or equivalent.
