Job Description
The Senior Project Manager – Mechanical will lead and manage hyperscale data center projects from inception through completion.
The role is accountable for safe, timely, budget-compliant, and quality-compliant project delivery.
Project Leadership and Delivery
- Lead project delivery in compliance with requirements, specifications, and applicable standards.
- Provide leadership to project teams, consultants, contractors, and specialist subcontractors.
- Manage scope, programme, budget, resources, risks, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning.
Stakeholder and Programme Management
- Manage relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
- Review programmes, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
- Lead progress meetings and provide regular reports to senior management and the client.
Technical and Contractor Oversight
- Review technical submissions, method statements, and inspection and test plans.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure delivery according to contractual obligations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant mechanical engineering and project management experience.
- Proven data center project experience is required.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities and capability to produce high-quality technical reports.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English with strong technical writing competency.
- Results-driven mindset with a collaborative approach to organizational goals.
