Purpose
The Senior Project Engineer is a product-focused position applying engineering principles and design practices to create optimized design concepts and mechanical design specifications.
The role considers application, cost, weight, performance, reliability, durability, manufacturing, assembly, and serviceability.
The position is based out of the client’s Jeddah office.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical input and negotiations across disciplines and communicate component and subsystem design intent through Design Review packages.
- Lead design concept selection, optimization, and specification decisions affecting customers and product initiatives.
- Execute critical design, validation, review, iDFMEA, DVA, GD&T, CREO, and ANSYS Workbench processes.
- Own smaller business-impact projects or complex components, products, systems, or services with accountability to the project team.
- Develop and improve work processes and systems across a functional discipline area.
- Coordinate technicians and temporary student employees and transfer knowledge to less experienced engineers.
- Provide technical guidance and influence technical direction within project teams.
- Operate as a recognized specialist in a discipline or product area.
Skills
- 8–10 years of experience in projects and commissioning.
- Team management experience is preferred.
- Experience with low-voltage systems, power generation, and power plants.
- A college, university, or equivalent bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- A demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making.
- Knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD.
- A Project Management Certificate.
