Job Overview

The Senior Project Engineer improves the Project Engineering discipline using internal and external best practices.

The role provides expertise to less experienced colleagues and solves complex project engineering problems.

The position supports customer, operational, project, and service activities while following applicable guidelines and policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate engineering inputs, deliverables, reports, procedures, scope packages, and project documentation.
  • Support project engineering management, planning, resource forecasting, worksharing, and subcontract coordination.
  • Liaise with customers, project teams, functional departments, vendors, subcontractors, fabrication, marine, quality, and HSES teams.
  • Manage scope changes, technical queries, site queries, change orders, interfaces, and engineering plan updates.
  • Monitor engineering, fabrication, procurement, quality, customer approvals, schedules, KPIs, progress, and productivity.
  • Participate in HAZAN, HAZID, HAZOP, 3D model, constructability, technical quality, and lessons-learned reviews.
  • Travel to customer and project meetings, engineering offices, fabrication yards, and offshore locations as required.

Essential Qualifications and Education

  • Degree in an engineering discipline.
  • 8–15 years of oil and gas experience with a major contractor or consultant.
  • Predominant experience performing detailed design of offshore facilities.
  • Working knowledge of discipline design techniques, analysis methods, and general workflow.
  • General knowledge of applicable statutory codes and guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications and Education

  • Registered Professional Engineer or membership in a professional engineering society is preferred.
