The Senior Commissioning Engineer improves the commissioning discipline using internal and external best practices and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Commissioning Manager and Principal Commissioning Engineer with home-office deliverables.
- Participate in site walk-down inspections, punch listing, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and instrument issues.
- Develop manuals, commissioning and start-up spares, first fills, consumables, and commissioning procedures.
- Perform equipment system checks, functional tests, commissioning, start-up, and performance testing.
- Resolve operational and maintenance issues during commissioning, start-up, and performance tests.
- Supervise craft personnel and coordinate activities with other commissioning engineers.
- Supervise commissioning, completions, operations and maintenance, design, and support personnel within the function group.
Essential Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering.
- 8 to 15 years of experience in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultant.
- Good understanding of commissioning, completions, and training practices, with basic knowledge of construction and operations and maintenance.
- At least 5 years of experience in a chemical, refinery, or oil and gas processing facility.
- Previous commissioning and start-up experience in the chemical, refinery, or oil and gas industry is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, adaptability, and project assessment skills are required.
- Good skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio are required.
- Willingness and ability to travel to construction sites and international assignments.
- English proficiency is required; additional languages are a plus.
