About the Role

  • The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing goods and services required by the organization.
  • The role ensures cost effective procurement, timely delivery, supplier performance management, and compliance with company policies.
  • The successful candidate will have experience in procurement within the Oil & Gas industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and procure materials, equipment, and services in accordance with business requirements.
  • Obtain quotations, compare supplier offers, and negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address issues related to quality, delivery, and service levels.
  • Ensure timely procurement and availability of materials to support operational and project requirements.
  • Identify cost saving opportunities and implement procurement best practices to improve efficiency.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and provide procurement support.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and contractual obligations.
  • Utilize ERP systems, preferably SAP, to manage procurement activities and reporting.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to achieving departmental objectives.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements and company standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in procurement or supply chain function.
  • Mechanical engineering background with experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Good understanding of end to end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, vendor management, and material planning.
  • Proven experience in sourcing technical materials, equipment, and services for Oil & Gas operations and projects.
  • Professional certification in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Logistics is an advantage.
  • Experience using ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Strong negotiation, supplier relationship management, and contract administration skills.
