About the Role
UCC Holding seeks a Senior Lead Estimator (Electrical) to lead cost estimation for electrical works in infrastructure, utilities, industrial, and building projects. Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of detailed electrical cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions
- Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents to identify project scope, risks, and commercial opportunities
- Prepare quantity take offs, cost build ups, estimate reconciliations, and pricing for MV/LV systems, substations, power distribution, lighting, earthing, and associated electrical works
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to develop accurate and competitive bids
- Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
- Conduct site visits to assess project conditions, identify risks, and support tender strategies
- Review contractor estimates, variation requests, and pricing submissions, providing commercial and technical recommendations
- Support value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs while maintaining compliance with project requirements
- Maintain estimating databases, historical cost benchmarks, and market pricing information
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, company procedures, quality standards, and commercial confidentiality
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 13–15+ years of experience in electrical estimation for infrastructure, utilities, industrial, or large scale building projects
- Strong knowledge of MV/LV systems, substations, power distribution, lighting, earthing, cable routing, and associated electrical installations
- Proficient in estimation software, quantity take off tools, AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Strong understanding of value engineering, cost planning, tendering procedures, FIDIC contracts, and commercial risk management
- Knowledge of local material pricing, labor productivity, subcontractor management, and electrical construction methodologies
- GCC experience preferred
- MMUP/UPDA Engineer Registration is preferred

Technical Qualifications
