Role Overview

Senior Process Engineer role focused on the design and delivery of water and wastewater treatment plants.

The position emphasizes process design, multidisciplinary coordination, technical leadership, and successful delivery of treatment solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead water and wastewater assignments across planning, studies, conceptual and detailed design, tendering, approvals, construction administration, site inspection, and warranty services.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, process, controls, and electrical disciplines.
  • Prepare and review technical analyses, reports, and treatment plant designs.
  • Manage technical resources and guide delivery against budgets, schedules, quality standards, and client expectations.
  • Lead design coordination, construction administration, technical oversight, and resolution of technical challenges.
  • Maintain client relationships and support technical proposals and presentations.
  • Promote collaboration, mentoring, continuous improvement, and compliance with engineering and quality requirements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Process, Environmental, Biosystems, Civil, or a related engineering discipline.
  • At least 8 years of relevant water and/or wastewater engineering experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Strong expertise designing water and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and technical design activities.
  • Professional Engineer registration in Manitoba, or eligibility to obtain registration within six months.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of relevant office and field experience.
  • Established municipal client relationships throughout Western Canada.
  • Interest in mentoring junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Experience leading successful delivery of water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Workplace and Authorization

  • New hires must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location.
  • Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.
