Programme Advisory opportunity
The Programme Advisory team supports the strategy, setup, and transformation of major programmes and asset-owning enterprises in transport, defence, utilities, and power.
The Programme Set Up team is seeking people with hands-on experience working as project, programme, or portfolio sponsors.
The Sponsor links organizational strategy and delivery so initiatives achieve intended outcomes and benefits within appropriate governance.
Key responsibilities
- Perform sponsorship and strategic requirements roles, manage client relationships, and identify business development opportunities.
- Lead or contribute to bid proposals and manage key bids.
- Lead internal Programme Advisory initiatives, including programme integration products and methodologies.
- Define strategic vision, objectives, success criteria, investment outcomes, scope, and requirements.
- Support funding, business case development, approvals, benefits realization, governance, assurance, and compliance.
- Provide direction on risks, issues, change management, affordability, and cost and schedule efficiencies.
- Build high-performing teams and promote collaboration and delivery excellence.

Requirements
- Experience in a sponsorship role for a large-scale infrastructure or capital delivery project, programme, or portfolio.
- Degree-level education, membership of a relevant professional body, or equivalent professional experience.
- Extensive project lifecycle knowledge, including business cases, benefits mapping, and requirements definition.
- Experience navigating planning, regulatory, political, and environmental constraints.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience with investment planning, negotiations, and financial status ownership.
- Experience managing risk, schedule, funding, resources, and delivery performance.
- Proven multidisciplinary team leadership and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, innovation, resilience, and change leadership capabilities.
