Role Overview
Undertake planning engineering duties on high-profile construction projects.
Support project controls teams with performance reporting, analysis, and client recommendations.
Serve as a key day-to-day client contact when assigned to a project.
Project Controls Duties
- Develop work breakdown structures and robust performance baselines with cost and planning engineers.
- Establish progress and cost monitoring methods.
- Produce project control reports and analyse performance for clients.
- Provide performance analysis and recommendations based on project data.
Technical Experience
- Experience should include earned value, progress updating, cost control, change control, baseline management, reporting, and a P6 environment.
- Use Microsoft Excel, planning software such as Primavera, reporting databases, and web-based project control tools.
- Familiarity with Oracle and SAP financial or procurement systems is expected.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience in a project controls environment on a major project or programme.
- Relevant graduate qualification with relevant work experience, or proven project control experience.
- Infrastructure-sector experience is beneficial, ideally in airports, rail, utilities, or defence.
- Candidates should be numerate, computer literate, proactive, and self-starting.
- Strong communication and analytical skills are required.
- Security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain it is desirable.
