About the Role
ALEC Technologies seeks a Senior Planning Engineer to lead project planning and scheduling for major construction projects in the UAE. The role involves programme development, delay analysis, EOT preparation, and mentoring junior planners.

Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project baseline programme, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and milestone schedules
- Monitor project progress and analyze performance against approved baselines
- Identify critical path activities, programme risks, and constraints, recommending mitigation and recovery strategies
- Prepare recovery and acceleration programme to support project delivery
- Produce weekly and monthly progress reports, executive dashboards, S curves, and look ahead schedules
- Lead delay analysis and prepare supporting documentation for Extension of Time (EOT) claims
- Coordinate planning activities across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and subcontractor teams
- Review and integrate subcontractor programme into the master schedule
- Assess programme impacts arising from variations, procurement issues, and project changes
- Facilitate planning meetings and present programme updates to clients, consultants, and senior management
- Mentor and develop Planning Engineers and Junior Planners within the project team
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Minimum 7+ years of planning experience within large scale construction projects
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM), Earned Value Management (EVM), delay analysis, and EOT preparation
- Experience supporting forensic planning, programme reviews, and construction claims
- Good understanding of FIDIC or other standard forms of contract
- Excellent analytical, leadership, stakeholder management, presentation, and report writing skills
