Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and updating project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Monitor project progress against approved baseline programmes
- Collect and consolidate progress information from site teams and subcontractors
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and look ahead programmes
- Assist with identifying delays and supporting recovery planning activities
- Maintain accurate planning records, programme updates, and project documentation
- Support the planning team with project controls, progress reporting, delay analysis, and Extension of Time (EOT) preparation
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
- Minimum 2+ years of planning experience within the construction industry
- Exposure to construction projects including buildings, infrastructure, airports, or MEP/ELV works
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with project progress reporting and Earned Value concepts
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Overview
- ALEC Engineering and Contracting L.L.C. (ALEC), part of ICD, is a leading GCC construction company delivering complex, high profile projects across sectors including airports, hospitality, retail, and high rises.
- We are looking for a motivated Junior Planning Engineer to support our planning team in developing, monitoring, and reporting project schedules while building a strong foundation in project controls and construction planning.
Your Role
- Assist in developing and updating project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Monitor project progress against approved baseline programmes.

What We’re Looking For
