Senior Piping Engineer

About the Employer

Responsibilities

• Champion project safety culture, behaviors, and engagement activities.
• Identify, evaluate, and resolve piping engineering issues.
• Review and approve contractor deliverables for mechanical piping engineering work.
• Review equipment design, system layouts, testing, specifications, calculations, drawings, studies, reports, material requisitions, and quantity estimates.
• Review vendor, manufacturer, and subcontractor design documents and prepare comments and recommendations.
• Attend technical meetings and project sessions, including design reviews, 3D model reviews, constructability, SIL, EIA, HAZOP, and HAZID sessions.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of EPC contractor mechanical piping design, system integration, and design selection.
• Supervise contractor work reviews and approvals for compliance with project specifications, codes, standards, and best practices.
• Coordinate engineering participation in design option analysis, optimization, and validation.
• Coordinate development and updating of technical specifications in line with owner requirements.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary reviews, technical workshops, and technical guidance.
• Coordinate vendor prequalification, bid evaluation, performance evaluation, and technical bid analysis.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in relevant engineering or an equivalent qualification from an accredited university is required.
• At least 15 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry is required.
• At least five years of GCC-region experience is preferred.
• PMC and ADNOC experience are required.
• Experience in FEED and EPC phases of oil and gas projects is required.
• Offshore project experience is required.
