About The Role

• An exciting opportunity to join the Qatar Airways Group Health & Medical Services Department as Physiotherapist.
• This role will be part of the wider physiotherapy team within the Lifestyle Medicine department of Qatar Airways Medical Division.
• Responsible to manage clinical caseload to provide professional one-on-one, group and rehabilitative sessions as part of a comprehensive physiotherapy service.
• Also, responsible to provide employees with education on the prevention and management of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.
• Your duties would include:
• Support line manager and team in implement principles of physiotherapy to improve and enhance the management of musculoskeletal, orthopedic and sports injuries and conditions across QR group in alignment with Employee Health objectives.
• Assist with the day-to-day management of the clinic. Managing waiting lists to ensure timely access
• Conduct individual physiotherapy needs assessments to contribute to a multi-disciplinary action plan.
• Provide comprehensive one-on-one and group physiotherapy and rehabilitative services in line with best practice and professional body guidelines.
• Support departmental managers in health promotion and education to prevent musculoskeletal injuries among QR Group staff.
• Maintain and priorities own clinical caseload efficiently and effectively.
• Undertake a holistic physiotherapeutic assessment of patients and use clinical reasoning to provide an accurate clinical diagnosis.
• Promote a caring and respectful environment in which all clients can expect a high quality and professional service.
• Communicate effectively with patients to obtain informed consent prior to assessment and treatment
• Provide clients with information to facilitate their understanding and maximize their engagement with the treatment and/or rehabilitation process.
• Appropriately refer cases to medical colleagues or allied health professionals as part of a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary care pathway.
• Administratively manage the clinical caseload, medical records, including the provision of clinical and discharge reports.
• Use evidence-based practice and quality improvement methods to inform, measure and evaluate own practice.
• Engage with the Lifestyle Medicine & Human Performance team through regular participation and active contribution in team meetings and program updates.
• Work effectively with the team members to design and deliver comprehensive, innovative and customized programs to promote and optimize overall wellbeing and performance.
• Assist department in return-to-work initiatives for employees returning from long-term leave related to musculoskeletal conditions through employee rehabilitation programs.
• Work flexibly and autonomously in managing own schedule and program delivery according to staff and operational need where required.
• Assist department with the promotion and facilitation of the Altitude wellbeing programs, assisting staff in understanding the unique needs and challenges faced by colleagues regarding MSK conditions and injury.
• Receive referrals and provide interdepartmental support to the Primary Care and Aeromedical teams to expand the remit and quality of services offered.
• Participate in relevant audit and applied research in the field of occupational physiotherapy and human factors within the aviation sector.
• Act as an ambassador for physiotherapy and advocate for a supportive workplace culture that values and prioritizes employee health.
• Comply with all regulatory training and continuous professional requirements to maintain a physiotherapy license within the State of Qatar.
• Handle all medical data and sensitive information in line with Data Privacy.
• Responsible for the safe and competent use of all therapeutic and gym equipment, as well as patient appliances and aids, ensuring that other members of the multi-disciplinary team attain competence prior to use.
• Comply with equipment care processes to identify and report equipment service requirements and repair within the facilities.
• Appropriately use and maintain all materials and equipment allocated for the delivery of physiotherapy services.
• Comply with clinical risk assessments to ensure the safety of patients and therapists within the work areas in line with policies and guidelines.
• Assist department with the investigation of any complaints relating to physiotherapy service delivery in line with the Group Medical complaints policy.

Qualification

Essential

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience
• Has the necessary educational and experiential requirements to obtain a physiotherapy license with the
• Department of Health Practitioners in the State of Qatar
• Experience in delivering comprehensive physiotherapy services with a clinical case load of up to 60 patients a week.
• Experience managing a physiotherapy team

Preferred

• Experience working within the aviation or military healthcare environments.
• Bilingual or multi-lingual fluency
• Experience in developing and implementing musculoskeletal programs for various staff groups
• Awareness of the foundational principles of lifestyle medicine
