Responsibilities
- Make recommendations to enhance services and reduce operational costs
- Implement, establish and monitor standard operating procedures with GHA's
- Manage KPI and Service Level Agreements with service providers and GHAs
- Manage station/region's ground handling activities cost effectively and safely
- Minimize discrepancies and non conformances to reduce claims and penalties
- Ensure management of Safety, Security, and Operational compliance
- Establish strong contacts with authorities and regulatory bodies
- Maintain aircraft on time performance and prevent delays due to ground operations
- Evaluate best industry practices and add value to operations
- Support RFP with HQ, Contracts and Procurement
Requirements
- High school qualification/ Vocational Qualification/ Diploma or higher
- Minimum 5 years of job related experience
- Strong experience in Air Cargo Operations, dangerous goods, AVI regulations, perishable cargo handling
- Ability to build relationships and influence
- Commercial acumen and ability to identify market and industry trends

About the Role
- Responsible for smooth cargo operations at the Region through coordination, supervision and negotiation with GHA's, local service providers and staff.
- Monitor and develop adherence to regulations and ensure compliance to IATA regulations.
- Reduce operational costs while improving customer satisfaction.
Accountabilities
- Make recommendations to enhance services and reduce operational costs.
- Implement, establish and monitor standard operating procedures with GHA's.
- Manage KPI and Service Level Agreements with service providers and GHAs.
- Manage station/region's ground handling activities cost effectively and safely.
- Minimize discrepancies and non conformances to reduce claims and penalties.
- Ensure management of Safety, Security, and Operational compliance.

- Maintain aircraft on time performance.
- Evaluate best industry practices.

- Ensure smooth working relations between local Cargo Staff and Airport Services Manager.
Qualifications
- High school qualification/ Vocational Qualification/ Diploma or higher with minimum 5 years of job related experience.

- Ability to build relationships and influence.
