Role overview
The Senior Network Engineer designs, implements, maintains, and supports enterprise network infrastructure.
The role ensures high availability, security, and performance across LAN, WAN, MPLS, satellite/VSAT, wireless, and mobility environments.
The position manages complex network operations, critical incidents, stakeholder coordination, and technical guidance.
Key accountabilities
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure.
- Configure and support Cisco routers, switches, MPLS, VPN, VLAN, QoS, OSPF, and BGP.
- Deploy, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot satellite/VSAT, wireless, and mobility services.
- Manage Palo Alto and FortiGate firewalls, including policies, NAT, VPN, and access control.
- Resolve complex routing, switching, firewall, WAN, and connectivity incidents.
- Execute network upgrades, migrations, configuration changes, and high-availability solutions.
- Coordinate with service providers and cross-functional technical teams.
- Lead critical incidents and provide Tier 2/3 technical support.
- Maintain network diagrams, configurations, inventories, documentation, and operating procedures.
- Guide junior network engineers and technicians through technical support and knowledge sharing.
