Own end-to-end network and security operations while reporting to the Lead.
Maintain a stable, secure, and audit-ready environment across routing, switching, and cybersecurity engineering.
Prepare operational reports and presentations, run meetings, handle escalations, and manage major changes.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily network and security operations across routing, switching, and cybersecurity engineering.
- Design, configure, and maintain enterprise core, distribution, and access-layer infrastructure.
- Manage routers, switches, firewalls, patching, lifecycle upgrades, and operational changes.
- Lead security engineering across firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, VPN, and secure network architecture.
- Harden devices against CIS benchmarks and internal baselines and remediate audit findings.
- Monitor operations for incidents and degradation and drive root-cause analysis and permanent fixes.
- Present performance, incident, and risk reports to the Lead and stakeholders.
- Run stand-ups, service reviews, incident reviews, and major changes through post-change validation.
- Coordinate cross-functional security activities, capacity planning, segmentation, and disaster recovery design.
- Evaluate tools and vendors, maintain documentation, mentor junior engineers, and provide on-call support.
Qualifications
- 8–10 years of network operations and cybersecurity engineering experience with routing and switching ownership.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary network and security operations and reporting to a lead or manager.
- Strong operational reporting, dashboard, presentation, meeting, escalation, and change-management experience.
- Hands-on expertise with enterprise routers, switches, firewalls, and network security monitoring tools.
- Experience with network hardening, audit remediation, troubleshooting, and incident response.
- Willingness to travel to datacenter or client sites and provide on-call support.
