Job Description

The MuleSoft Integration Engineer designs, builds, and supports integration flows for a shared services platform.

The platform enables government entities to publish and consume APIs through Anypoint Platform and Azure API Management on OpenShift.

The role combines MuleSoft development, administration, and API gateway management.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build Anypoint Studio integration flows using DataWeave transformations.
  • Design, publish, manage, and promote APIs, contracts, policies, and flows through Anypoint Platform.
  • Configure Azure API Management policies, throttling, versioning, developer portals, and trace capabilities.
  • Support CI/CD on OpenShift, including Azure DevOps pipelines, Ingress, application, and Key Vault configuration.
  • Administer MuleSoft environments, backups, upgrades, patches, Runtime Fabric, and Environment Library settings.
  • Manage entity SSL certificates and onboard government entities to the shared services platform.
  • Troubleshoot integration and data-exchange issues using App Insights and API Management trace logs.
  • Support API governance standards.

Required Technical Skills

  • Anypoint Studio, DataWeave Playground, Anypoint Design Center, Anypoint Exchange, and Anypoint Platform.
  • Azure API Management tools, including the Developer Portal, Postman, VS Code extension, OpenAPI, Swagger, MSAL, and APIM Trace.
  • MuleSoft CI/CD and administration on OpenShift, including Azure DevOps pipelines and Runtime Fabric.
  • API promotion, application and Key Vault configuration, backup and patch management, and SSL certificate management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • MuleSoft certification, public-sector API experience, and exposure to Camunda, Solace, or Microsoft APIM are desirable.
