Senior MEP Engineer

Site supervision and quality

• Supervise day-to-day MEP execution at site according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks for MEP installations.
• Ensure installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
• Coordinate corrective actions and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, specifications, and statutory requirements.

Contractor and vendor coordination

• Coordinate with MEP contractors, consultants, vendors, and suppliers.
• Monitor contractor manpower, productivity, work quality, and progress.
• Review technical submittals, material samples, method statements, and shop drawings.
• Coordinate procurement and timely availability of MEP materials at site.

Project coordination and documentation

• Coordinate with consultants, architects, project managers, and other departments.
• Participate in MEP coordination meetings and resolve site-related technical issues.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to management.
• Maintain inspection reports, progress reports, drawings, and other MEP records.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification, and final handover.

Key technical areas

• Electrical systems, HT/LT systems, transformers, DG systems, panels, and power distribution.
• Lighting, small power, HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, fire alarm, and ELV systems.
• Pump rooms, MEP plant rooms, shaft coordination, and high-rise MEP services coordination.
• Testing and commissioning, MEP BOQs, and quantity estimation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant MEP discipline.
• 5–10 years of relevant MEP experience.
• High-rise residential or commercial project experience is preferred.
• Hands-on complete MEP execution and project coordination experience.
• Knowledge of BOQs, quantity take-offs, estimation, billing, material planning, and cost control.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MEP drawing interpretation.
• Knowledge of MEP standards, specifications, safety requirements, and statutory regulations.
• Contractor, consultant, and vendor management skills.
• Communication, coordination, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to independently handle MEP activities and coordinate multiple services.
