Position Overview
MEP Design Engineer supporting high-rise residential and commercial projects in the real estate and construction industry.
The position is in the MEP and Design and Engineering department and requires three to seven years of experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and coordinate MEP design drawings for high-rise residential and commercial projects.
- Design and coordinate HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, and ELV systems as applicable.
- Prepare layouts, schematic drawings, single-line diagrams, and coordinated MEP drawings.
- Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to identify clashes and design conflicts.
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, contractors, and site teams.
- Review consultant drawings and ensure designs are practical, technically sound, and suitable for site execution.
- Conduct design coordination and clash detection using AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, or similar tools.
- Assist with BOQs, specifications, material requirements, and technical submissions.
- Provide technical solutions for site-related MEP design issues and support the execution team.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable IS codes, NBC, fire-safety requirements, and project specifications.
- Attend coordination meetings, document revisions and approvals, and issue the latest approved drawings to site teams.
