About the Role
Khidmah seeks a Senior MEP Engineer to lead operation, maintenance, and improvement of MEP systems across facilities. - Lead the operation, maintenance, and optimization of MEP systems including HVAC, chillers, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical equipment
- Review engineering designs, technical drawings, specifications, and method statements for compliance
- Provide technical expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex MEP and building services issues
- Plan, supervise, and monitor preventive, corrective, predictive, and emergency maintenance activities
- Manage MEP works for refurbishment, fit out, and capital improvement projects
- Conduct site inspections, technical assessments, testing, commissioning, and project handovers
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, statutory requirements, HSE policies, and quality management systems
- Prepare engineering reports, maintenance performance reports, technical evaluations, and management updates
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineers, supervisors, and technicians
- Support budget planning, technical procurement, and contract administration activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP engineering, building maintenance, or facilities management
- Minimum 5 years in a senior MEP engineering or supervisory role with hands on experience in MEP systems, HVAC, chillers, and maintenance operations
- Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC systems, chillers, and building maintenance
- Project planning and execution skills
- Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of HSE regulations and quality standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and Microsoft Office
- Professional Engineering certification is preferred

Job Purpose
- Lead and manage the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of MEP systems across assigned facilities.
- Ensure reliable, safe, and efficient performance of building services including HVAC, chillers, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, quality standards, contractual KPIs, and client requirements.
Engineering & Technical Management
- Lead operation, maintenance, and optimization of MEP systems including HVAC, chillers, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical equipment.
- Review engineering designs, technical drawings, specifications, and method statements for compliance.
- Provide technical expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex MEP issues.
- Recommend engineering improvements to enhance system reliability, energy efficiency, and asset lifecycle.
Maintenance Management
- Plan, supervise, and monitor preventive, corrective, predictive, and emergency maintenance activities.
- Ensure maintenance works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with SLAs and KPIs.
- Monitor equipment performance and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Support lifecycle replacement planning and major maintenance projects.
Project & Site Coordination
- Manage MEP works for refurbishment, fit out, and capital improvement projects.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct site inspections, technical assessments, testing, commissioning, and project handovers.
- Review contractor performance and verify completed works prior to acceptance.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, statutory requirements, HSE policies, and quality management systems.
- Conduct technical audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Ensure accurate maintenance records, asset documentation, and statutory compliance certificates.
- Investigate technical failures and implement preventive and corrective actions.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
- Allocate resources and monitor team performance.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, vendors, and service providers.
- Support training and continuous professional development of the engineering team.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare engineering reports, maintenance performance reports, technical evaluations, and management updates.
- Monitor maintenance KPIs, asset performance, and operational costs.
- Support budget planning, technical procurement, and contract administration.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
Education & Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineering certification is preferred.
Experience and Skills
- Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP engineering, building maintenance, or facilities management.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior MEP engineering or supervisory role with hands on experience in MEP systems, HVAC, chillers, and maintenance operations.
- Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC systems, chillers, and building maintenance.
