The position focuses on asset integrity and corrosion for major oil and gas or petrochemical projects.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate corrosion control strategies and material selection diagrams.
- Review painting and coating specifications and cathodic protection design.
- Review EPC contractor corrosion studies for compliance with NACE, API, and ISO standards.
- Participate in material selection workshops, vendor bid evaluations, and design reviews.
- Support site inspections related to corrosion and coating application.
- Verify corrosion monitoring systems and related documentation.
- Recommend improvements to material integrity and lifecycle performance of project facilities.
Experience requirements
- 12 years of professional experience are required.
- Six of those years must be in corrosion engineering for major oil and gas or petrochemical projects.
- Asset integrity and corrosion expertise is required.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Special studies in corrosion, materials, or metallurgy are required.
