Senior Lifting Operations - Offshore

Role Overview

Qualification and Experience

• Engineering degree from a recognized university.
• At least 17 years of experience, including five to ten years in the oil and gas industry in a similar role.
• Experience in construction, crane management, rigging, and heavy lifting.
• Minimum five years of offshore experience is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of offshore process and utility systems.
• Certification in lifting supervision, such as LEEA certification.
• Previous experience on an ADNOC project.

Technical Requirements

• Knowledge of crane safe working loads, lifting gear maintenance, and lifting regulations.
• Knowledge of international lifting and rigging standards, including ASME, OHSA, and LOLER regulations.
• Ability to interpret lifting drawings and calculations and provide guidance to subcontractors.
• Ability to review and approve lift plans, studies, and lifting and rigging procedures.
• Ability to generate project lifting and rigging procedures when necessary.
• Knowledge of inspecting lifting gear and equipment, including overhead cranes, gantries, davit arms, and winches.

Work Setting

• The role is focused on offshore construction and lifting operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe crane, rigging, and lifting operations at an offshore construction site.
• Develop, review, and approve lifting plans, studies, and procedures.
• Manage subcontractors and provide guidance on lifting and rigging activities.
• Interpret lifting drawings and calculations and provide technical guidance.
• Generate project lifting and rigging procedures when required.
• Ensure lifting operations comply with applicable safety standards and regulations.
• Monitor crane safe working loads and lifting gear maintenance requirements.
• Inspect lifting gear and equipment, including overhead cranes, gantries, davit arms, and winches.
• Support construction activities and project schedules through effective lifting operations.
