Role Overview
LACASA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for its Design Division in Dubai.
The role supports complex high-rise building and hospitality projects within an engineering consultancy environment.
The position requires leadership, planning, direction, and technical expertise across multiple projects.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of experience within an engineering consultancy, preferably in Dubai or the UAE.
- Experience providing sustainable design and dealing with Dubai authorities, including DM, DEWA, Civil Defense, Trakhees, EHS, and DDA.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Master's degree in Engineering is required.
- Membership of CIBSE, IMechE, or ASHRAE is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
- Proven project design experience from concept through detailed design.
Technical Skills
- Experience with HAP, Revit, and AutoCAD or comparable MEP design software.
- Mechanical design experience covering HVAC, public health, fire protection, BMS, irrigation, swimming pool, and gas systems.
The Role
- Produce detailed mechanical design drawings and prepare technical specifications, schedules, and design development reports.
- Interpret contracts and project deliverables, coordinate with the project team, and monitor engineers as appropriate.
- Deliver work within agreed deadlines and budgets while keeping senior design team members informed of key decisions.
- Ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met in designs and support authority submittals and NOC processes.
- Attend and contribute to team and project meetings.
