Position Overview

The BIM/CAD Architect/Draftsman will develop technical architectural drawings and BIM models for concept design.

The role is based in an architectural consultancy environment within the UAE and focuses on Dubai regulatory compliance.

The position includes producing apartment layouts from sketches or direction provided by senior team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare code-compliant drawings, BIM models, authority area calculations, concept plans, elevations, and sections.
  • Produce accurate Revit models, maintain BIM standards and templates, and coordinate project documentation.
  • Prepare authority submission drawings independently and respond to technical comments.
  • Coordinate architectural models with structural and MEP disciplines to identify and resolve conflicts.
  • Support project teams from concept through schematic design while meeting quality and deadline requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an architectural consultancy within the UAE.
  • Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM workflows and standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and meet deadlines.

Technical Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of the Dubai Building Code and Dubai Municipality regulations.
  • Knowledge of authority submission requirements, UAE accessibility standards, and local planning and zoning regulations.
  • Knowledge of BIM coordination and documentation standards, architectural detailing, and construction documentation.
  • Strong conceptual drafting and ability to translate design intent into accurate CAD layouts and BIM models.

Added-Value Skills

  • Enscape, Lumion, or similar visualization software experience is advantageous.
  • Adobe Creative Suite and InDesign experience is advantageous.

Working Style

The role requires strong communication and coordination abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive, team-oriented approach to problem-solving.
