Role Overview

The Senior Manager, Marketing serves as the strategic marketing partner to the KSA and MEA businesses.

The role translates business priorities, commercial plans, OGSMs, and building blocks into integrated market activation plans.

The position leads trade marketing and market activation teams across KSA and MEA to deliver growth, customer engagement, brand consistency, and profitable performance.

Strategic and Commercial Leadership

  • Translate KSA and MEA business plans into activation roadmaps with separate priorities, budgets, governance rhythms, and performance measures.
  • Define activation priorities across distributors, customers, channels, launches, sponsorships, events, and trade programs.
  • Partner with general managers, finance, sales, distributors, customers, and marketing capability teams.
  • Prioritize requests based on commercial impact, readiness, return on investment, and business-plan alignment.

Trade and Market Activation

  • Lead trade marketing, distributor activation, key customer programs, product launch activation, promotions, and market development initiatives.
  • Lead and develop KSA and MEA market activation and trade marketing teams.
  • Translate campaigns, product value propositions, sponsorship assets, and brand toolkits into practical local activation plans.
  • Govern marketing investment so activities are justified, approved, documented, and measured.

Marketing Excellence and Localization

  • Partner with regional brand, campaign strategy, product marketing, digital, intelligence, and center-of-excellence teams.
  • Adapt regional platforms to local language, culture, channels, and customer requirements while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Support regional transitions, product launches, sponsorship activations, customer engagement, and sales enablement.
  • Feed market learnings back into regional teams to improve propositions, campaigns, and commercial priorities.

Performance and Investment Management

  • Own activation planning, investment governance, performance measurement, budget usage, campaign effectiveness, and return on marketing investment.
  • Identify execution risks, market gaps, and capability needs and recommend corrective actions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commercial Management, or a related discipline is required.
  • Ten or more years of relevant experience leading trade marketing, customer activation, commercial marketing, channel marketing, or market development is required.
  • Experience leading teams across markets, managing marketing investments and agencies, and measuring performance is required.
  • Experience in KSA, GCC, Middle East, or Africa markets is strongly preferred.
  • Automotive, lubricants, industrial, B2B distribution, or FMCG experience is advantageous.
  • An MBA or advanced business degree is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong strategic marketing, commercial, financial, analytical, performance management, communication, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilities are required.
  • Expertise in trade marketing, distributor activation, customer engagement, channel development, and integrated marketing planning is required.
  • Professional fluency in English is required; Arabic capability is advantageous.

Working Conditions and Travel

  • The role operates in a hybrid office environment with regular interaction across commercial, marketing, and functional teams.
  • Regular travel across KSA and MEA may be required for market visits, customer engagement, distributor reviews, events, and leadership meetings.
  • Travel is expected to be at least 50%, depending on business needs.
  • The role requires effectiveness in a fast-paced, matrixed, global organization across cultures and time zones.
