Senior Marine Projects Engineer (Arabic Speaker)

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

• Lead marine, coastal, waterfront, and public beach projects from initiation through completion.
• Review designs, drawings, specifications, method statements, and project proposals.
• Manage coastal protection, marine structures, waterways, beach facilities, and waterfront infrastructure.
• Prepare scopes, tender documents, specifications, cost estimates, and contract requirements.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverables.
• Supervise consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and service providers.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor construction quality and safety compliance.
• Ensure compliance with municipal, environmental, sustainability, and marine engineering requirements.
• Monitor contractor performance against KPIs, milestones, and contractual obligations.
• Review technical submissions, material specifications, progress reports, variations, and payment applications.
• Coordinate authorities and project stakeholders and support asset-management planning.
• Manage handover, testing, commissioning, defect rectification, and project close-out.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine, Civil, Coastal, or Ocean Engineering, or a related discipline.
• More than 10 years of relevant marine, coastal, waterfront, or infrastructure experience.
• Experience managing large-scale marine construction or public infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of coastal engineering, marine structures, dredging, reclamation, shoreline protection, and waterfront development.
• Experience with contract preparation, tender evaluation, contractor management, budgeting, and project execution.
• Understanding of health and safety, environmental regulations, sustainability, and quality standards.
• PMP, Chartered Engineer, or equivalent certification is advantageous.
• Government, municipality, consultancy, or major infrastructure organization experience is preferred.
