Role Overview
Oversee complex audit assignments covering ports, customs, free zones, logistics, and related government operations.
Provide independent assurance over governance, risk management, financial controls, and operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex internal and operational audit engagements.
- Evaluate internal controls, governance frameworks, risk management, and financial processes.
- Conduct risk-based audits across port, customs, free zone, and logistics-related operations.
- Identify control gaps, operational risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Prepare and review comprehensive audit reports and recommendations.
- Present audit findings and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Lead, coach, and develop audit team members.
- Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions.
- Contribute to the annual audit plan and risk assessment.
- Ensure audit activities comply with professional standards, regulations, and internal policies.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of internal audit experience with proven experience managing audit engagements.
- Experience in ports, customs, free zones, logistics, maritime, government, or other highly regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of governance, risk management, internal controls, and audit methodologies.
- Arabic language proficiency is required.
- ACCA, CPA, CIA, or CFA certification is required.
- Proven experience leading audit teams and managing senior-level stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, communication, report-writing, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience within a government or government-related environment is highly desirable.
