The client is a fast-growing Middle Eastern retail group that partners with international fashion and lifestyle brands across the GCC.

Role Overview

The Senior Manager - Stage Direction will oversee the artistic and creative delivery of live daily productions, seasonal productions, and marquee events.

The role works with entertainment, production, technical, wardrobe, and live show teams to ensure shows are developed and presented effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Entertainment Director and coordinate with Production, Technical, and Wardrobe Managers to deliver shows while considering park requirements.
  • Manage artistic and creative elements of live daily productions through development, operation, and continuous enhancement.
  • Manage and direct Assistant Show Directors, Performance Captains, Junior Choreographers, and other live show staff.
  • Develop and document show-development processes, including scripts, blocking charts, music recordings, and production materials.
  • Provide creative input for special events and external rental or corporate events.
  • Maintain entertainment production resource materials and lead creative efforts for marquee and seasonal productions.
  • Participate in environmental, health, and safety compliance and develop cross-training and seasonal promotion opportunities.
  • Perform other duties reasonably requested by the Management Team.

Candidate Qualifications

  • A university degree, diploma, or professional training in Dance or Theatre is required; a Master's in Theatrical Studies or Business Administration is desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience directing live entertainment shows, productions, or events in theme parks, theatres, festivals, or special events is required.
  • Strong knowledge of scriptwriting, live stage production, choreography, costume design and development, and themed live shows is required.
  • Professional training in dance, stunts, or acting and strong presentation, communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and multi-project management skills are required.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and related tools is required.
  • Video or audio production experience, music editing or mixing, Photoshop, and video editing skills are desirable.
