Senior Manager - Landscape Design (DEL2)

Role Overview

Design Management and Delivery

• Lead landscape and public realm design activities across multiple projects.
• Champion design excellence, innovation, placemaking, and memorable guest experiences.
• Review and accept drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, and BIM outputs.
• Oversee project delivery against approved scope, programme, budget, quality, and milestones.
• Coordinate landscape, architecture, infrastructure, utilities, transportation, and engineering disciplines.

Governance and Consultants

• Support consultant procurement, technical reviews, commercial evaluations, tender assessments, and appointment recommendations.
• Manage external consultants against contractual, programme, and quality requirements.
• Contribute to governance reviews, stage gates, executive reporting, and issue resolution.

Compliance and Sustainability

• Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations, authority requirements, environmental standards, and design criteria.
• Promote sustainable landscape design, water-sensitive urban design, climate-responsive solutions, and responsible resource management.
• Support native planting, biodiversity enhancement, long-term landscape resilience, and design risk management.

Leadership and Culture

• Champion health, safety, wellbeing, collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal capability development and knowledge sharing.
• Build relationships with stakeholders, consultants, and delivery partners.

Technical Experience

• Extensive experience in large-scale landscape and public realm projects within destination or mixed-use developments.
• Strong knowledge of landscape architecture, public realm design, and placemaking.
• Experience with wadi corridors, hydrology, climate-responsive design, hardscape, softscape, and construction methodologies.
• Knowledge of Arabian planting palettes, irrigation, water conservation, and sustainable drainage systems.
• Experience coordinating civil, structural, utilities, transport, and MEP disciplines.

Management and Communication

• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants.
• Strong project, design, commercial, programme, stakeholder, and risk management capabilities.
• Fluent English, strong presentation and report writing skills, and effective technical review capability.
• Ability to balance design aspirations with operational, technical, and commercial considerations.

Digital Tools

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and experienced with Revit and BIM workflows.
• Experience with Aconex, ACC, and other digital design management and collaboration platforms.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is desirable.

Qualifications

• Degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning, or a directly related discipline.
• Chartered Landscape Architect status or an equivalent internationally recognized professional qualification.
• LEED, Mostadam, or equivalent sustainability certification experience is desirable.
