Role Purpose

Coordinate health, safety, and environmental requirements across the Film Studio asset.

Support safe activation, handover, and day-to-day operations.

Ensure contractors, employees, tenants, productions, and service providers comply with HSE procedures and risk controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement HSE policies, procedures, site rules, statutory requirements, and operational safety standards.
  • Coordinate inductions, permits to work, risk assessments, method statements, toolbox talks, inspections, audits, and compliance records.
  • Support incident reporting, investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, emergency preparedness, drills, and fire safety coordination.
  • Coordinate HSE requirements for productions, set builds, temporary structures, special effects, equipment movement, workshops, and other high-risk activities.
  • Monitor contractor and service provider compliance and coordinate safety dependencies with internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain risk registers, incident logs, corrective-action trackers, inspection records, reports, dashboards, and documentation repositories.
  • Review operational readiness plans and identify safety gaps before productions, tenant activity, or facility opening milestones.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through communication, coaching, and visible site engagement.

Performance Measures

Reportable incidents and near misses, corrective-action closure, inspection and audit completion, and permit-to-work compliance are key measures.

Contractor induction completion, documentation accuracy, emergency drills, and safety training completion are monitored.

Education and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental Management, or a related field is required.
  • Four to seven years of experience in HSE coordination, occupational safety, operational risk management, or site safety is required.
  • Experience managing contractor safety, inspections, incident investigations, and permit-to-work processes is required.
  • NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent HSE certification is preferred.

Technical and Functional Expectations

  • Strong knowledge of HSE standards, risk assessments, inspections, incident management, and permit-to-work processes.
  • Ability to coordinate contractor and production safety in fast-changing operational environments.
  • Strong documentation, reporting, corrective-action tracking, compliance monitoring, communication, and site-stakeholder coordination skills.

Preferred Background

Experience in film studios, entertainment venues, events, hospitality assets, facilities operations, construction-to-operations handover, or operational activation environments is preferred.

Experience supporting commissioning, operational activation, production safety, and temporary works is preferred.
