Role Overview
Support development project teams with design activities, including design strategies, schedules, and design guidelines.
Ensure design work aligns with the overall master plan and supports successful project delivery.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement design guidelines and design plans for assigned development projects.
- Advise leadership on design consultants through outreach, RFP development, contract execution, and contract administration.
- Support design strategies, development schedules, budgets, and plans.
- Conduct internal design reviews and take corrective action to maintain alignment with the overall plan.
- Review design deliverables and recommend actions to meet quality standards and strategic objectives.
- Coordinate consultants from pre-concept through execution to maintain alignment with the master plan.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is required.
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
- Seven years of experience in design management, architecture, urban planning, master planning, or large-scale mixed-use development projects is required.
- Knowledge of master planning, urban design guidelines, design governance frameworks, and design quality assurance processes is required.
- Excellent consultant management and negotiation capabilities are required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously is required.
