Job Summary

Application Operations

• Lead daily operational management of multiple business-critical applications.
• Maintain application availability, reliability, and performance against service level agreements.
• Monitor application health, system performance, and operational metrics.
• Manage incidents, problems, escalations, root cause analysis, and preventive actions.
• Coordinate application support across internal teams and external vendors.

Release Management

• Oversee deployments across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Plan and execute releases, updates, patches, and enhancements with development teams.
• Manage release schedules, environment readiness, deployment validation, and rollback procedures.
• Drive deployment automation and CI/CD practices.
• Establish release governance and deployment best practices.

Monitoring and Excellence

• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
• Analyze application performance trends and lead optimization initiatives.
• Use Application Performance Management tools to identify bottlenecks and improve user experience.
• Develop operational dashboards, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms.
• Evaluate tools and technologies that improve operational effectiveness.

Governance and Collaboration

• Partner with security, infrastructure, and network teams on security and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain standards for access control, networking, and data protection.
• Maintain runbooks, standard operating procedures, system configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
• Conduct operational readiness reviews for applications and technology implementations.
• Support audits, risk assessments, and compliance activities.
• Mentor operational teams and promote best practices and knowledge sharing.

Education and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field is required.
• At least 6 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or IT infrastructure is required.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms is required.
• Knowledge of DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, and Infrastructure as Code practices is required.

Technical Skills

• Experience with GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent CI/CD tools.
• Programming and scripting experience in Python, Java, Shell scripting, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of Application Performance Management tools such as New Relic, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or Datadog.
• Relevant certification in cloud, DevOps, IT service management, or application operations is required.
