Senior ICT / ELV & ITS Engineer- 100% (m/f)

Role Overview

Design Responsibilities

• Lead ICT, ELV, and ITS system design across major infrastructure and building projects.
• Develop concept designs, schematic layouts, detailed designs, reports, specifications, calculations, schedules, BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documents.
• Prepare and review structured cabling, data and voice, CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, intercom, fire alarm, PA/VA, BMS, SCADA, AV, IPTV/SMATV, and related ELV designs.
• Develop containment layouts, equipment room requirements, rack layouts, network connectivity, field device layouts, and system integration strategies.
• Support ITS design for traffic CCTV, variable message signs, traffic data collection, fibre optic communications, and central management platforms.

Coordination and Quality

• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, architectural, structural, civil, fire and life safety, security, and BIM teams.
• Review drawings, models, calculations, material specifications, compliance matrices, and design submissions.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable international and local standards, including NFPA, BS, IEC, IEEE, TIA/EIA, UAE Fire and Life Safety Code, SIRA, and authority requirements.
• Participate in workshops and design coordination meetings with clients, consultants, authorities, vendors, and internal teams.
• Contribute to design risk assessments, value engineering, technical clarifications, and alternative solutions.

Tools and Technical Guidance

• Use Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, CCTV coverage tools, network bandwidth calculators, PA/VA calculation tools, and other discipline-specific software.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and CAD or Revit modelers.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Communication Engineering, ICT, or a related discipline.
• 12 to 15 years of relevant ICT, ELV, low-current, security, building technology, or ITS systems design experience.
• Experience taking ICT and ELV designs from concept through detailed design, tender documentation, and construction-stage support.
• Experience with the listed communications, security, life safety, building management, automation, audiovisual, and integration systems.
• Experience on large-scale infrastructure, transportation, airport, tunnel, data centre, commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, or building projects.

Standards and Coordination

• Understanding of UAE/GCC authority requirements and international standards, including NFPA, BS, IEC, IEEE, TIA/EIA, UAE Fire and Life Safety Code, SIRA, and Civil Defense requirements.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks, MS Office, and relevant ICT/ELV design and calculation tools.
• Ability to prepare and review design reports, specifications, drawings, BOQs, material take-offs, compliance matrices, calculations, and technical reports.
• Strong multidisciplinary coordination and stakeholder interface skills.
• Experience with technical workshops, client and authority coordination, design reviews, and vendor or specialist subconsultant coordination.
• Middle East/GCC experience is preferred; UAE project experience and Dubai authority familiarity are advantageous.
• Familiarity with PMC frameworks, risk management, and stakeholder coordination processes.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication, analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
