Role Overview
A main contractor is seeking a Senior HSE Engineer to safeguard employees, assets, and the environment on construction sites.
The role is responsible for maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and update HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Deliver HSE training for employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to HSE regulations, standards, and internal procedures.
- Maintain HSE records and submit performance reports to management.
- Develop emergency response plans covering evacuation, first aid, and emergency-service coordination.
Education and Certifications
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, safety management, risk management, or a related field is required.
- NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHA, or an equivalent recognized HSE certification is listed.
Experience and Skills
- Relevant construction-industry experience under a main contractor is required.
- The description states a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- The application fields require 5 years of UAE experience and 5 years of main-contractor experience.
- Strong communication, analytical, and reporting skills are required.
- The role requires the ability to enforce HSE policies and proficiency in risk assessment and emergency management.
Compensation
