- Design and create fresh floral arrangements, bouquets, centerpieces, and custom orders
- Consult with customers to understand their preferences, budget, and event requirements
- Supervise and support junior florists and floral assistants
- Ensure flowers and plants are properly cared for to maintain freshness and quality
- Order, receive, and manage inventory of flowers, plants, and floral supplies
- Monitor stock levels and minimize waste through effective inventory control
- Prepare floral arrangements for weddings, corporate events, and other special occasions
- Maintain attractive product displays and a clean, organized workspace
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company standards
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally
- Assist with pricing, merchandising, and promotional displays
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of fresh products
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; floral design certification is an advantage
- 3–5+ years of professional florist experience
- Proven experience in creating a wide range of floral designs
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of flowers, plants, seasonal availability, and floral care
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads
