Role Overview

Provide financial and payroll support to the High Risk Managed Services department.

Support accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, payroll, and financial controls.

Financial Accounting and Reporting

  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Analyze financial performance and explain variances against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Report realization and project profitability for High Risk Managed Services projects.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting with accurate financial data and insights.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and company accounting policies.
  • Advise the business on financial matters including foreign exchange and tax.

Payroll

  • Review monthly expatriate payroll against HR data and verify that amounts are calculated and booked correctly.
  • Verify supporting documents for joiners, leavers, and contract amendments.
  • Apply knowledge of DIFC Employment Law and Iraq personal tax calculations.
  • Assist with resolving payroll queries and issues.

General Responsibilities

  • Provide financial support to the HRMS department and Executive Committee.
  • Support new legal entity setup, business expansion, statutory reporting, and group reporting.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Improve reporting processes, automate tasks, and enhance financial controls.
  • Support the Financial Controller and Regional Finance Director as required.

Essential Experience

  • Experience in management accounting.
  • Experience in an analytical accounting role.
  • Experience preparing budgets and forecasts.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Excel.
  • Part-qualified status in a recognized accounting qualification.
  • Understanding of DIFC Employment Law and Iraq personal tax calculations.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience providing financial support in a consulting business.
  • Experience providing commercial support, including pricing.
  • Experience in audit, global business, or statutory accounting.
