Role overview

Control Risks is seeking a Senior Consultant in its eDiscovery department.

The role may be based in San Francisco, Chicago, New York City, or Washington DC, with a hybrid workplace.

The consultant will oversee full-lifecycle eDiscovery projects and client matters.

Consulting responsibilities

  • Consult with clients on project workflows and industry best practices.
  • Develop customized solutions and build strong client relationships focused on client success.

Project management responsibilities

  • Manage multiple eDiscovery projects from initiation through completion.
  • Provide hands-on RelativityOne support across workflows, searches, productions, privilege logs, imaging, OCR, and security administration.
  • Coordinate resources for processing, data loading, and hosting based on deadlines and priorities.
  • Manage client expectations, gather requirements, and communicate priorities to development teams.
  • Maintain project tracking, specifications, and chain-of-custody records.
  • Coordinate daily activities and deliver quality work within established timeframes.

Knowledge and experience

  • 3–4 years of eDiscovery litigation support and project management experience.
  • Strong RelativityOne knowledge and experience setting up projects to client specifications.
  • Experience with cross-border investigations and related discovery concerns.
  • Experience across litigation phases and understanding of eDiscovery project management fundamentals are preferred.

Qualifications and specialist skills

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Relativity certifications are advantageous.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with litigation support software such as Agility Blue, ReadySuite, Fileread, CS Disco, NUIX, Everlaw, Python, or Power BI is a differentiator.
  • Excellent written and oral English presentation skills; Spanish is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, organizational, and project management skills.

Schedule expectations

  • Availability to work extended hours when client project loads increase.
  • The role requires managing tight deadlines and competing demands across multiple projects.

Compensation

  • The base salary range is $120,000–$135,000 per year. Exact compensation varies by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
