Control Risks is seeking a subject matter expert to grow its Data Analytics practice for the Americas region and provide global support.
The Director will support client needs and business opportunities across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific.
The role focuses on project leadership, service offering development, and thought leadership in data analysis.
Data analytics consulting
- Design and implement qualitative and quantitative analysis methods to discover trends, identify red flags, and improve operational efficiency.
- Create dynamic visualization and monitoring dashboards for reporting and ongoing analysis of client risk areas.
- Collect, aggregate, model, and analyze data from enterprise systems to support clients and counsel.
- Establish relationships among disparate data sources and construct centralized data models.
- Use statistical and mathematical methodologies to identify anomalies and patterns in complex data.
- Advise on challenging, high-profile, and multi-jurisdictional data analytics matters.
Business development and leadership
- Develop global data analytics and technology service offerings and generate thought leadership and best practices.
- Present data analytics capabilities to prospective corporate clients and law firms.
- Support regional marketing, business development, and sales prospecting activities.
- Prepare project proposals with budget, staffing, and time estimates.
- Mentor junior team members and support effective stakeholder communications.
Project management
- Deliver accurate work on time throughout the project life cycle while responding to evolving client needs.
- Manage client expectations, identify and mitigate project risks, and seek to exceed client expectations.
- Oversee the gathering, documentation, and management of client and project requirements.
Requirements
- Significant professional and technology experience, preferably in forensic accounting, legal technologies, strategy, compliance, or investigations.
- Knowledge of regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, financial services, and insurance is preferred.
- Knowledge of anti-fraud, investigations, anti-bribery and corruption, and regulatory requirements analysis is required.
- Advanced analytics experience covering visualization, predictive modeling, data management, ETL, aggregation, and reporting is required.
- Hands-on structured-data analysis experience and advanced Microsoft SQL Server query-building knowledge are required.
- A bachelor's degree is required; postgraduate study or equivalent qualifications are a plus.
Technical and professional skills
- Advanced experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SAP, Oracle, or other database applications.
- Familiarity with SQL, Tableau, Python, SAS, ACL, VBA, Power BI, or Java is preferred.
- Strong presentation, interpersonal, logical reasoning, and client-facing communication skills are required.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and travel internationally when requested.
