Job Purpose

Core Responsibilities

• Lead project engineering, new product and technology development, product improvement, standardization, and qualification projects.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for assigned project or product scope.
• Assess project needs against product line standardization strategies to reduce execution risk.
• Develop product design, geometry standards documentation, and product qualification requirements.
• Deliver assigned projects with responsibility for quality and on-time completion.
• Create and review part reports, drawings, engineering specifications, and standards.
• Support project schedules and deliverables and provide progress updates to management.
• Mentor engineers, designers, and drafters and provide independent review and approval of work packages.

Technical Delivery

• Plan and execute technical deliverables to meet project requirements and schedules.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers, designers, and drafters.
• Facilitate design reviews and consult subject matter experts on equipment designs, materials, quality, and welding issues.
• Review and approve engineering change notices and technical documents, including calculations, drawings, equipment lists, and test procedures.
• Facilitate root cause analyses and develop design solutions for nonconformances.
• Support quality notification dispositions and supply chain issues.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, factory acceptance testing, and system integration testing.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 8 years of engineering experience in surface wellhead systems, reduced to 6 years for Master's or PhD candidates.
• Experience supporting surface projects constrained by safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
• Experience reviewing and approving engineering designs, documents, layouts, and calculations and interpreting FEA or structural analysis results.
• Strong knowledge of solid mechanics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer.
• Experience with hoop stress, flexibility, buckling, burst, and fatigue analyses.
• Work experience must include API 6A knowledge.

Technical Standards

• The role works to industry codes related to surface wellhead systems, TechnipFMC standards, and client specifications.
• The role requires compliance with HSE and quality policies and relevant work instructions and design guidelines.
