Job purpose

Manage the Life of Field engineering team within ICAD, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Ensure compliance with engineering standards, good practices, and operational execution excellence.

Develop the team to support drilling and completions, modification, maintenance and repair, and iComplete operations.

Management responsibilities

  • Manage a multidisciplinary Life of Field engineering team supporting offshore operations and base activities.
  • Define staffing levels and skills according to project and operational requirements.
  • Select, train, and develop engineering team members and maintain their competencies.
  • Monitor team involvement, performance, process compliance, and technical integrity.
  • Establish goals, targets, measures, and KPIs for team performance.

Technical and operational responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with engineering design, manufacturing, quality, and customer satisfaction standards.
  • Validate project engineering scope and resources.
  • Maintain regional technical integrity and support discipline growth through collaboration with internal centers and service providers.
  • Create, update, and disseminate discipline reference documentation and best practices.

Education and experience

  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or tertiary education in an Oil and Gas discipline is required.
  • A master's degree is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of oil and gas industry experience is required, preferably involving surface drilling and completions equipment.
  • At least 3 years of lead or supervisory experience is required.

Skills and knowledge

  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary projects and groups.
  • Advanced project management, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent command of English is required.
  • Working knowledge of surface wellhead and tree equipment or related subsea equipment is required.
