Job Purpose

Perform FEA analysis of subsea production systems and surface equipment products in Hyderabad.

Create, review, and analyze designs for compliance with technical specifications, functionality, and constructability.

Major Responsibilities

  • Review customer technical specifications and industry codes.
  • Create and review specifications, drawings, design documents, and analysis reports.
  • Analyze designs and generate new designs using engineering judgment, classical calculations, and analysis programs.
  • Provide piping, jumper, or flowline design advice during design reviews.
  • Optimize designs for functionality and manufacturability.
  • Develop solutions by analyzing and evaluating data and anticipating potential problems.
  • Deliver assigned work on time and maintain required quality.
  • Record weekly time entries in SAP and support process improvements.
  • Ensure work complies with TechnipFMC guidelines, specifications, HSE, and quality policies.

Qualifications

  • BE or MTech in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 10 years of relevant industry experience, with subsea or surface equipment analysis experience preferred.
  • Hands-on Ansys or Abaqus knowledge is required.
  • Knowledge of ASME, API, DNV, NORSOK, and ISO design codes is required.
  • Experience with oil and gas equipment FEA, high-pressure equipment, boiler vessels, or heavy engineering is required.
  • Proficiency in non-linear, structural, and thermal analysis is required.
  • Experience with welded and bolted structure analysis is required.
  • Ability to substantiate FEA results with classical hand calculations is required.

Technical Collaboration

  • Perform technical design reviews and recommend improvements.
  • Write, review, and approve technical reports and documents.
  • Guide team members and technically supervise a group of analysts.
  • Interface with engineers, drafters, quality, project managers, fabrication teams, and external customers.

Training

  • Complete HR, HSE, and quality induction training.
  • Complete TCE and intranet system training.
  • Complete TechnipFMC subsea system and product training modules.
  • Complete relevant company processes, local work instructions, and analysis software training as required.
