Job Purpose

Perform FEA analysis of subsea production systems and surface equipment products.

Create, review, and analyze designs for compliance with technical specifications, functionality, and constructability.

Responsibilities

  • Review customer technical specifications and industry codes.
  • Create and review technical specifications, analysis reports, and related documents.
  • Analyze designs using engineering judgment, classical calculations, and analysis programs.
  • Recommend design improvements for functionality and manufacturability.
  • Resolve problems independently and take preventative actions.
  • Deliver assigned work with required quality and timeliness.
  • Maintain time records in SAP and support process improvements.
  • Follow company guidelines, specifications, HSE policies, and quality policies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A BE or MTech in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • At least 5 years of relevant industry experience is required; subsea or surface equipment analysis experience is preferred.
  • Hands-on Ansys and finite element analysis experience is required.
  • Experience with oil and gas equipment, high-pressure equipment, boiler vessels, or heavy engineering is required.
  • Experience with non-linear, structural, thermal, welded-structure, and bolted-structure analysis is required.
  • Candidates must validate FEA results with classical hand calculations and produce technical reports.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of ASME, API, DNV, NORSOK, and ISO design codes is required.
  • Technical design review, estimation, planning, and design optimization skills are required.
  • API 6A and design appraisal through analysis are listed as related skills.
