Senior Engineer (Static Equipment)

Role Overview

Engineering and Design Review

• Review and validate drawings, datasheets, specifications, and technical documents for static mechanical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, client specifications, international standards, and industry regulations.
• Participate in constructability reviews and value engineering initiatives.
• Review vendor technical submissions and verify material suitability and compatibility with operating conditions.

Project Execution and Construction

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise installation activities for static mechanical equipment.
• Monitor construction progress and resolve technical challenges affecting project execution.
• Coordinate lifting, rigging, erection, and installation activities.
• Supervise contractors, supervisors, foremen, and skilled workforce.

Static Equipment Scope

• Lead work involving pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, separators, scrubbers, filters, reactor vessels, columns, and towers.
• Cover piping supports, skid packages, utility systems, fire water tanks, fuel storage systems, and mechanical structures associated with equipment installations.

Quality and HSE

• Ensure compliance with project quality management systems and review Inspection and Test Plans.
• Witness inspections, testing, and acceptance activities and support audits and NCR close-out.
• Promote HSE compliance through risk assessments, JSAs, PTW processes, safety inspections, and incident investigations.

Procurement and Commissioning

• Support technical bid evaluations, vendor documentation reviews, Factory Acceptance Tests, and vendor inspections.
• Coordinate equipment delivery schedules and resolve technical procurement issues.
• Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, hydrotesting, pneumatic testing, leak testing, performance testing, and mechanical completion.

Planning and Documentation

• Support budgeting, forecasting, cost control, change orders, project variations, KPI monitoring, and progress reporting.
• Prepare technical reports, method statements, work procedures, completion dossiers, handover packages, and project records.

Experience

• At least 8 to 10 or more years of Mechanical Engineering experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, Industrial Construction, or EPC projects.
• Proven experience installing and constructing static mechanical equipment.
• Experience managing large-scale industrial construction projects.

Education and Technical Knowledge

• A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Knowledge of static equipment engineering, pressure vessel installation, storage tank construction, and heat exchanger installation.
• Knowledge of mechanical construction practices, piping and structural interfaces, welding technologies, NDT requirements, mechanical integrity, asset reliability, commissioning, and international codes and standards.
