Role Overview

Lead static equipment engineering activities for complex EPC projects in oil and gas, petrochemical, power, and industrial sectors.

Oversee engineering from design through project completion while coordinating with multiple disciplines and stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with project specifications, international codes, quality requirements, and HSE regulations.

Engineering Leadership

  • Lead static equipment engineering activities from design through project completion.
  • Review and approve equipment datasheets, technical specifications, vendor documentation, design calculations, deviations, drawings, and deliverables.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables meet project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to engineers and designers.

Project Execution Support

  • Support construction, installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
  • Resolve technical issues during fabrication, installation, and site execution.
  • Coordinate with civil and structural, rotating equipment, piping, electrical, instrumentation, controls, and construction teams.

Quality and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with ASME, API, ANSI, ISO, client specifications, project QA/QC requirements, and HSE regulations.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical audits, inspections, and vendor evaluations.
  • Ensure technical accuracy and completeness of engineering deliverables and vendor documents.

HSE Leadership

  • Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Participate in risk assessments, HAZID, HAZOP reviews, job hazard analyses, and incident investigations.
  • Ensure equipment design and installation practices align with project HSE requirements.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as the focal point for static equipment discipline matters.
  • Interface with clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams.
  • Resolve interdisciplinary technical conflicts affecting project execution.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain discipline documentation and records throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly engineering progress reports.
  • Keep documentation current, accurate, and audit-ready.

Experience

  • Requires 15 or more years of engineering experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, power, or industrial projects.
  • Requires at least 7 years in a managerial or discipline leadership role.
  • Requires EPC project experience from engineering through construction and commissioning.
  • Requires experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
  • Requires strong exposure to pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, columns, and static equipment packages.

Education and Skills

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline is required.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME, API, ANSI, and ISO standards is required.
  • Requires knowledge of static equipment design and analysis, vendor package management, design reviews, procurement support, and commissioning support.
  • Requires proficiency with PDMS, AutoCAD, CAESAR II, PV Elite, and engineering documentation tools.
