A confidential company in Dubai is seeking a Senior Electrical Technician for advanced electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of high/medium/low voltage equipment. Requires a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years of experience with switchgears, VFDs, UPS, and control panels.

Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance for electrical equipment in plants according to established schedule and maintenance cycle
- Respond to faults and failures reported in plants, electrical equipment, through the work order system; visit sites to inspect, troubleshoot and correct the fault
- Provide extensive support/coordination to Specialist to test, maintain and troubleshoot electrical equipment (HV/MV/LV) switchgears, circuit breakers, transformers, VFD, SS, UPS, battery charger, LV control panels
- Be available on call to work 24x7 service emergency needs and shutdown activity
- Supervise contractor's works at site and provide feedback on contractor performance to supervisor
- Assure the system is updated at the end of every day related to works and work orders, submittal of timesheet, and usage of Digital Tablets
Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- 8+ years of experience in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical equipment comprising HV and MV switchgears, MV and LV VFDs and SS, UPS and Battery Charger, and LV Control Panels
- Strong working knowledge of electrical theory and systems
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical manuals

JOB OBJECTIVE
- The Senior Electrical Technician is responsible for performing advanced electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on various electrical systems and equipment. They provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians. The Senior Technician ensures all work is completed safely
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide necessary information and feedback to Supervisors and when required
- Perform preventive maintenance for the electrical equipment in plants according to established schedule and maintenance cycle
- Communicate major maintenance requirements to the supervisor in order to schedule corrective maintenance within the suggested/accepted timeframe
- Respond to faults and failures reported in plants, electrical equipment, through the work order system; visit sites to inspect, troubleshoot and correct the fault as per supervisor instructions/schedule
- Provide extensive Support/Coordination to Specialist to Test, Maintain and Troubleshoot Electrical equipment (High Voltage/Medium Voltage/Low Voltage) Switchgears, Circuit Breakers, Transformers, VFD, SS, UPS, Battery Charger, LV Control panels etc.
- Carries out duties as per standards and in guidance of site supervisor and reporting of abnormal situation in a timely manner
- Team work and efficiency of job performance towards the customer satisfaction
- Be available on call to work 24x7 service emergency needs of department requirements and Shutdown activity
- Be responsible for the safe custody & maintenance of equipment, tools, spare parts and materials in personal custody
- Notice problem and develop option for potential solution and assist Team member/Technician beyond the regular position requirement
- Ability to read as built and electrical schematic drawing with excellence in troubleshooting skills
- Active involvement in new projects, upgradation and retrofit works
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- 8+ years of experience in Operating and Maintaining and troubleshooting Electrical Equipment comprising High Voltage and Medium Voltage Switchgears, Medium Voltage and Low Voltage VFDS and SS, UPS and Battery Charger and LV Control Panels
- Strong working knowledge of electrical theory and systems
