Role Overview
Egis is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join its operations team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The role owns the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems supporting industrial operations.
The position leads electrical professionals, collaborates across departments, and drives safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement power distribution networks, backup power systems, and advanced control systems.
- Analyze system performance and equipment failures, then develop corrective solutions to reduce downtime.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs for electrical equipment.
- Lead and mentor electrical technicians and junior engineers.
- Prepare electrical diagrams, control schematics, operating procedures, and technical specifications.
- Conduct electrical safety audits and implement workplace safety protocols.
- Deliver capital improvement projects with project managers and stakeholders within schedule and budget.
- Optimize energy consumption and identify efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain awareness of industry practices, emerging technologies, regulations, and industrial automation.
Qualifications
- At least 7 years of professional experience as an electrical engineer.
- Expertise in electrical systems design, power distribution networks, and industrial control systems.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, ETAP, or equivalent electrical simulation and modeling tools.
- Hands-on experience with SCADA, PLC programming, and industrial automation.
- Project management experience covering planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
- Leadership experience managing and mentoring technical teams.
- Knowledge of IEC standards, electrical safety requirements, and Saudi Arabian electrical regulations.
- Professional Engineer license or equivalent professional certification in electrical engineering.
- Electrical safety certifications such as OSHA or IEC standards are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Middle Eastern industrial operations and regional electrical standards is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

- Ability to read, interpret, and create complex electrical drawings and technical specifications.
