Civil Inspector (Saudi National)

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Inspect pre-construction site conditions and identify obstructions or potential conflicts.
• Document existing properties, utilities, structures, and landscaping that may be affected by construction.
• Review materials, equipment, and products for compliance with approved submittals and specifications.
• Inspect temporary and permanent works against contract documents, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
• Maintain site logs, inspection reports, test records, and other project documentation.
• Monitor safety practices and construction progress and report deviations.
• Support punch-list preparation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and design teams to resolve construction issues.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• At least eight years of professional experience in civil construction inspection.
• Knowledge of construction standards, codes, specifications, and Saudi Arabian regulations.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical documents.
• Experience with inspection methodologies, contract administration, material compliance, and quality assurance.
• Strong reporting, communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Computer literacy and proficiency with report generation and documentation systems.
• Physical capability to conduct regular site inspections and assessments.

Work Setting

• The role is based on construction sites in Riyadh and requires regular physical site inspections.
