About Egis

Egis provides architectural, consulting, construction engineering, operations, and mobility services across more than 100 countries.

The company develops and delivers infrastructure and building solutions focused on sustainable and resilient development.

Role Overview

The Risk Manager establishes, manages, and continuously improves risk management across development and delivery activities.

The role covers strategic, programme, project, commercial, financial, operational, and delivery risks.

The position requires a proactive, hands-on approach focused on ownership, mitigation, monitoring, challenge, and escalation.

The role operates across multiple projects, workstreams, consultants, contractors, and client departments in a PMC environment.

Risk Framework and Assessment

  • Establish and maintain the risk management framework, procedures, tools, templates, methodologies, and governance requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and monitor risks through structured reviews, stakeholder engagement, workshops, project information, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Assess risks across cost, schedule, procurement, contracts, design, construction, approvals, stakeholders, resources, interfaces, dependencies, and quality.
  • Identify interdependencies and emerging risks across projects, workstreams, and stakeholders.

Mitigation and Monitoring

  • Ensure each material risk has an accountable owner, practical mitigation actions, target dates, and success measures.
  • Follow up with risk owners, challenge ineffective or overdue actions, verify implementation, and assess whether exposure has reduced.
  • Maintain accurate project and programme risk registers, risk trends, mitigation status, control effectiveness, and audit trails.
  • Keep high, critical, unresolved, and escalated risks visible to management.

Workshops and Reporting

  • Plan and facilitate risk identification and assessment workshops with client departments, EGIS teams, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Prepare dashboards and reports covering risk profiles, high and critical risks, emerging risks, trends, overdue actions, and mitigation status.
  • Provide concise analysis and recommendations to support management decisions, intervention, resource allocation, and escalation.
  • Present risk information clearly to senior management and relevant governance forums.

Project Controls Integration

  • Integrate risk management with planning, cost, commercial, procurement, contracts, design, quality, and project management functions.
  • Assess how changes, delays, procurement issues, approvals, design development, and major events affect project and programme risk.
  • Provide risk-based input to forecasts, schedules, budgets, procurement strategies, changes, and major decisions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Review and improve risk tools, processes, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and the quality of management information.
  • Promote a risk-aware culture and share lessons learned from projects and significant risk events.

Education and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business administration, risk management, or a related discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience is required.
  • Experience in risk management across major development, construction, infrastructure, or programme environments is required.
  • Experience with developers or clients, PMCs, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary stakeholders is required.

Technical and Behavioural Skills

  • Strong knowledge of project and programme risk management principles, methodologies, assessment, response, mitigation, monitoring, and escalation is required.
  • The role requires risk data analysis, trend identification, management recommendations, risk registers, dashboards, and reporting systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills are required; Power BI or other dashboard tools are preferred.
  • The role requires ownership, accountability, communication, influencing, negotiation, stakeholder management, analytical ability, accuracy, and independent decision-making.
