- Lead the entire lifecycle of data science projects, from initial conception and design to deployment and maintenance in production environments
- Develop and implement advanced ML architectures for complex models, ensuring scalability, performance, and robustness
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gain a thorough understanding of operational processes, identify key challenges, and translate business needs into data driven solutions
- Guide and direct interaction with product teams to influence product design, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical feasibility
- Employ a production first approach, conducting thorough feasibility studies and prototyping to evaluate project viability
- Introduce and champion innovative ML techniques, processes, and products within the organization
- Mentor and guide junior and senior data scientists, fostering a collaborative and high performing team environment
- Proactively identify and address potential challenges and risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field of machine learning and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement
- Contribute to the development and refinement of data science best practices and methodologies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- 8+ years of experience in a data science or analytics role, with significant portion dedicated to leading complex projects
- Advanced cloud certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer)
- Advanced knowledge of ML models: NLP, Gen AI and deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras)
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement complex ML architectures
- Advanced understanding of business operations, needs, and pain points
- Exceptional proficiency in developing, training, and deploying ML models in production environments
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python preferred)
- Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with ServiceNow
